Cross Country Finishes Season at NJCAA Championship

SUNY Erie cross country capped off a successful 2024 season at the NJCAA Division III Championship in Richmond, Virginia.

In the women's 5k championship, Emma Palumbo led Erie with a top-50 finish, placing 44th overall in a season-best time of 23:09. Erik Blersch and Tammy Marillo both ran personal-best times.

In the men's 8k championship, Ryan Weir ran hard from the gun, finishing 26th overall with a personal best of 28:42. The men's team placed 15th in the standings, marking a solid finish to the season.

"I'm really happy about the effort today," said Head Coach Chris Muldoon. "We competed with the best team in the country and came away with some impressive places and personal records. It was a good way to end the season."
