SUNY Erie Cross Country Shows Improvement at Kara Hall Memorial Invitational
The SUNY Erie cross country teams continued their season at the Kara Hall Memorial Invitational, hosted by SUNY Fredonia. This meet, which served as a pre-regional event for the NCAA Division III Niagara Region, featured strong competition and provided a challenging test for the Kats.
Women's 6k:
For the first time this season, the SUNY Erie women competed in the 6k distance. Emma Palumbo delivered a strong performance, finishing 113th with a time of 28:54.0, which converts to a 5k season-best. Tammy Marillo finished 139th with a time of 43:23.1, while Erik Blersch placed 140th in 47:39.3.
Men's 8k:
The SUNY Erie men finished 17th in the team standings, led by Samuel May, who took 144th place with a time of 31:06.8, marking the first time he has led the team this season. Several athletes achieved personal bests:

Brendan Terrill – 181st place (38:27.7)
"This is a tough part of our season between heavy training and big meets. So, it's encouraging to see improvement from one week to the next," said Head Coach Chris Muldoon. "The big thing is we have to get and stay healthy to reach our goals at the Region 3 championships coming up."
The Kats will conclude the invitational portion of their schedule next week at the Highlander Invitational, hosted by Houghton University.
