Volleyball Wins WNYAC Tournament

The Erie women's volleyball team won the WNYAC tournament on Saturday defeating Jamestown Community College (25-21, 25-16 and 25-10) and Monroe Community College (25-11, 25-22 and 25-20).  This is the third tournament win a row for Erie.

Six Kats were named to the All-Conference team and Craig Starzynski was named Coach of the Year.

Erie started season going just 2-7 before going on an 11 game win streak to finish the season 15-7! 

Starzysnki said of their play at the tournament, "We played great today. Diarah really stepped up and hit well and as always our middle blockers played great. Delia got us huge kills in big moments.  Faith and Allie played the best they've played all season, all over the floor on defense and strong at the net."

Up next, the Kats will play in the Region III semifinals on November 2nd at SUNY Niagara.
