Women's volleyball swept POD play with wins over Onondaga Community College (25-21, 24-26, 25-19 and 25-22 and SUNY Niagara (29-27, 25-9 and 25-16) on Saturday. The victories improve the Kats to 5-7 on the season as they have won 4 of their last 5 matches.
Standout play came from freshman Ciana Wiseman who led with 26 digs and freshman freshman Sarah Barnard who had 23. Samantha Padilla led the team in kills with 26.
"We played our best volleyball all year today." said Coach Craig Starzynski. "Defensively, Ciana was cooking all day. Her and Sarah played with a ton of confidence. Avari also played amazing defensively. Our back row play is starting to click and that's keeping us in every point"
Erie will look to continue their momentum when they host Monroe Community College on Tuesday at Flickinger Center. Match time is 6:00 pm.
