Volleyball Earns Wins Against SUNY Niagara

The Erie Community College volleyball team earned their first victory of the season by beating Niagara County Community College in straight sets, 25-14, 25-18 and 26-24.
Samantha Padilla and Delia Lake led the Kats in kills with seven each. Avirana Irizarry had 10 digs while Allison Gummo added 20 assists.
Coach Craig Starzynski said of Gummo, "Allie set for the first time this season and she ran our offense really well. Our athletes played with a ton of energy today. It's great to get a strong win."
Erie will look to keep the momentum going when they travel to Hudson Valley Community College on Saturday to take on Hudson and SUNY Adirondack in POD play.
