Erie women's volleyball was playing impressive volleyball leading into the Region III tournament but fell short of the finals. After a victory over Jamestown Community College (26-24,25-16 and 24-12), the Kats would fall to Jefferson Community College (28-26, 16-25 and 11-25) and Broome Community College (16-25, 19-15 and 18-25)
Coach Craig Starzynski said, "One set away from advancing to the finals. Our athletes left everything on the court but fell just a little short. I am so proud of the way this team played like a family all year. The genuine love and camaraderie on this team will be a benchmark for all Erie teams to come."
Sophomore Natalie Rhulmann had another outstanding season for the Kats and defended her Defensive player of Year title, being named co-defensive player for this season as well as to the Third Team All Region. Sophomore Emily Pijacki was named second team while freshman Molly McKinnon was names to the First Team All Region.
