The Erie women's volleyball team defeated Broome Community College (25-11, 25-14, 21-25 and 26-24) and Corning Community College (25-19, 25-16 and 25-16) in POD play at Niagara County Community College on Saturday.
Leading the way for the Kats was sophomore Jordyn Morreale with 21 kills while freshman Naomi Minniefield added 17 of her own.
Coach Craig Starzynski said of the matches, "We needed both of these wins to stay in the mix for the playoffs and our athletes delivered. Naomi played great today. She was the teammate we leaned on when we needed a big point. We're getting better and more well-rounded every week and we are looking forward to continuing that growth."
The Kats look to stay in the win column when they host Monroe on Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
