Davis Repeats as Region III Player of the Year, Ruhlmann Earns Defensive Honors
Congratulations to sophomore Aurora Davis who was named the Region III Player of the year for the second year in a row. Davis has helped lead the Kats volleyball team this year with her dominate play and leadership.
Davis started every match for the Kats this year. She led the team with 189 kills and .486 hitting percentage.
"Aurora is the biggest hitter and the biggest game-changer in the region. She plays with so much passion and is an incredible teammate." said Coach Craig Starzynski of Davis.
Davis was also was also named to the All-Region team, earning First Team honors.
Freshman Natalie Ruhlmann was named the co-defensive player of the year. Ruhlmann, who also played in every game for the Kats, led the team with 302 digs.
Starzynski also had high praise for Ruhlmann. "Natalie has steadily gotten better as the season progressed. She plays with confidence and a healthy aggression that only the very best liberos play with." he said.
She also received Third Team, All-Region honors.
