The Kats picked up two of four possible wins over the weekend. On Saturday, Erie lost a pair of games to Herkimer College.
In game one, the Kats only managed three hits in the 11-2 loss. Amelia Potter, Alyssa Kilonsky and Alyssa Christensen provided the only offense of the game. Potter took the loss on the mound allowing ten runs on eleven hits.
Erie was able to manage nine hits in the second game but could not stop the strong Herkimer team and lost 15-7. Alyssa Kilonsky again led the Kats offense, going three of four and scoring two runs. Marissa Stockmeyer was on mound for the Kats. The pitcher went five innings allowing all 15 Herkimer runs.
Erie would bounce back on Sunday when they hosted Tompkins Cortland Community College (T3). The Kats defeated T3 15-0 in game one and earned a win in game two when the Panthers were forced to forfeit due to injury.
Stockmeyer earned the game one win, pitching five innings, allowing no runs on two hits.
The Kats are now 19-14 overall for the season.
