The Erie softball team split their Saturday double header with Mohawk Valley Community College. In game one, Mohawk took an early lead, putting up five runs in the first two innings. The Kats settled in and pulled within one run in the fifth inning. Erie would complete the comeback by scoring two more in the seventh inning. Julia Kilonsky led the team with two hits and two RBIs.
Marissa Stockmeyer picked up the win for Erie allowing one hit and zero runs over 3.2 innings.
Game two was a reversal of fortune as it was Mohawk who earned the 3-2 come from behind win. Alyssa Christensen led the team with two hits and one RBI. Stockmeyer was on the mound, allowing three runs on seven hits over 6.2 innings.
Erie will host Genessee Community College on Tuesday for a pair of games at North Campus. First pitch is at 3:00 pm.
