Orchard Park, NY- The Erie Community College Soccer teams both defeated Jefferson Community College in a double header in Orchard Park on Saturday afteroon.
The ladies opened their season defeating Jefferson 8-0. Picking up where she left off last season, Jena Schelbel led the day with five goals and two assists. Also scoring for the Kats was Maya O'Rourke, Vanesss Schmidt and Annabelle Macintosh. Goalkeeper Amber Grabp recorded the shut-out.
The Kats take on defending NJCAA Division III Champions, Richland College on Monday September 2nd at Erie South Campus. Game time is 12:00 pm.
The men's team got its first win of the season on Saturday defeating Jefferson 2-0.
Scoring the Kats goals were sophomore James Doran and freshman Tim Ellis. Goalkeeper Patrick Hernandez had six saves in the win.
The Kats travel to Corning Community College for the their next game on September 7th. Game time is 3:00 pm.
