Comeback Falls Short for Kats Hockey
The Erie Community College hockey team hosted Redeemer University on Saturday, losing to the Royals 4-3.
Redeemer, the only Canadian team in the Kats UNYCHL division, took an early 3-1 lead before the end of the first period. The Kats would get goals from MacAllister Ward and Kevin Rieman in the second period to tie things up. Erie would find themselves down a man when Mark Klubek was called for tripping just forty seconds into the third period. Redeemer would make the Kats pay, scoring what ended up being the game winning goal.
The loss has the Kats fall to 6-6 on the season. Their next game is Saturday, December 7th when they host Geneseo at Cheektowaga Town Rink at 2:20 pm.
