Hockey Wins Fourth in a Row
The Erie Community College hockey team traveled to Jamestown on Friday and came away with fourth third victory in a row, defeating the Jayhawks 5-4.
The Kats struck early when MacAllister Ward found the back of the next just 47 seconds into the game. Erie would take a 3-1 lead into the first intermission with Kevin Rieman and Ryan Mathews adding goals. Erie got one in the second from Louis Miller and would hold off a Jamestown threat with one more in the third off the stick of Alex Noel.
Goaltender Dominick Szlapk made 30 saves on the 34 shots he faced.
