Men's and Women's Bowling Compete in Columbus
The Erie men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Columbus, OH over the weekend to compete in the third AMerican Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) tournament.
The ladies were led by sophomore Jessica Fullone who finished in 14th with a 176 average and 880 pins. The men finished in tenth place and were led by sophomore Anthony Shaver. Shaver bowled 1009 pins and had a 201.8 average.
"Our spare shooting was not ideal today for either team, but the execution of our players first shots seen improvements from last weekend. The men's team struggled to click all at once, but the season is still early for them to find their way. The women's team climbed into 7th after their 930 set in the final game of five person, but due to some very unfortunate circumstances they were down a player for 7 out of 12 of our baker games. We bowl, we learn and then we get ready for our next event," said Coach David Zajac.
The Kats will look to rebound when they participate in the Tiger Cup on November 18th in Webster, NY.
