Men's Bowling Takes Second at Royals Open
The Erie Community College men’s and women’s bowling teams opened their seasons over the weekend with a pair of tournaments.
The Erie men took second place out of eight teams at the inaugural Royals Open, which consisted of five five-man games and 10 Baker games. Four Kats finished among the top 11 in individual scoring, including Andrew Burckhalter who finished fourth and made the All-Tournament Team with a 206.4 average. Alex Weinrich was eighth with a 193.2 average. Joshua Large was right behind him with a 192.2 average and Dom Germano was 11th with a 185.8 average.
The Erie women took fourth out of five teams. Amy Feldman led the way with a 174.6 average and an eighth place finish.
At the FMCC Baker Tournament, which consisted of 35 Baker games, Erie’s men took third out of 8 teams and the women were fourth out of five teams.
