The men's basketball team heads into the semester break sitting at 8-4 after a loss to Cuyahoga Community College. The Kats traveled to Ohio to face the high powered Triceratops offense, falling 99-77.
Freshman Dray Akin continued to shine for the Kats putting up 20 points along with nine rebounds. Also in double digits for Erie were sophomores A'Mage Tate and Jeremiah Clarke who each had 12 and Michael Duviella with 10. Duviella also had nine rebounds.
The women also struggled against Cuyahoga, losing 87-31. Sophomore Mia Special and freshman Alexandria Silverstor continue to lead the team with Special putting up nine points and 11 rebounds and Silverstor adding eight points and 11 rebounds of her own.
Erie is off for the semester break and will return to action when they host Lakeland Community College at the Burt Flickinger Center at 1:00 and 3:00 pm on January 6th.
