The Erie Community College men's basketball team traveled to Rochester on Saturday to take on Monroe Community College, falling to the Tribunes 83-81. Monroe won by sinking a three pointer on the final shot of the game.
Erie had taken the lead 81-80 on a layup by Justin Morety with just 4 seconds to play but then could not stop Monroe from gaining the three point shot to win.
Nathan Severson and Kelvin Reaves led the Kats in scoring with 15 points each. Morety finished the game with 11 points and William Tavares de Brito added 10 to round out the Kats in double digits.
Erie will next host Niagara Community College on Wednesday, February 9th at 6:00 pm at the Burt Flickinger Center.
