New Rochelle, NY- The Erie Community College men's basketball team went 1-1 over the weekend a the MLK Classic hosted by Monroe College.
On Saturday, Erie lost to Sullivan County Community College 83-17. The Kats rebounded on Sunday with a victory over CCBC Dundalk, winning 79-69.
Leading the way for Erie in both games was sophomore guard Josh Dennis. Dennis scored 23 points against Sullivan and put up 22 against Dundalk. Freshman Justin Morety also hit double digits in both games, scoring 11 and 18 respectively. Sophomore William Tavares de Brito led the team in rebounds in both games with 16 against Sullivan and 18 against Dundalk.
Erie will travel to Jamestown Community College for their next match-up on Saturday, January 22nd at 1:00 pm.
