Buffalo, NY -- The Kats picked up a big win on Saturday when they defeated Niagara County Community College 78-69 to clinch the number one seed in the NJCAA Region III Division 2 Basketball tournament.
A back and forth affair was highlighted by 16 points from Ahamadou Fofana. The Kats attack was balanced with five Kats breaking double digits. Kyle Harris would add 14, Shevon Anisca would add 13 points along with 10 rebounds while Kasey Walker-Gregg contributed 12 and 10 points were added by Michael Motley. The Kats would out-rebound the Thunderwolves 47-35 to dictate the pace of play with great possession play.
The Kats finish the regular season with a 22-3 record and will host the NJCAA Region III Division II Basketball Final Four on March 1st and 2nd.
