Erie Community College football played in the 2024 Region III Championship on Saturday, falling to the Hudson Valley Vikings 55-10.
Despite exchanging points on each of their first drives to start the game, the Kats found themselves down 21-3 at the end of the first quarter and could not mount any real offense to get themselves back in the game.
Coach Mike Kemp attempted to shake things up and get the offense going by using all four of the quarterbacks on the Erie roster by they managed just 73 passing yards total. Erie's lone touchdown came on a 17 yard Eric Wilson pass to Che'Von Allen. Bryant Jackson had 12 rushing attempts for 45 yards.
Erie will look to get back in the win column when they take on Alfred University JV on the road on Sunday, October 27th for a 1:00 pm kickoff.
