Eric Calder led the Kats in the first game, collecting four hits in four at bats, en route to the Kats 19-1 win. Calder hit a home run to right field in the fourth inning, doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning. Austin Deitz earned the win for Erie. The hurler allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking none.
Game two was more of the same, with Erie collecting 18 hits to win the game 22-0. Dietz drove in five runs on two hits, including hitting a home run to right field in the fourth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the third inning, scoring two. Ethan Goodband earned the win. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one.
It was Erie's turn to host, and the Kats kept the momentum up at home. Konner Hauck drove in four runs on three hits to lead Erie to a 12-2 victory in the first game. Erie jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Hauck doubled, scoring two runs, Deitz singled, scoring one run, and Ethan Perry doubled, scoring two runs.
Nick Gold earned the win for the Kats. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking none. Adam Staniszewski appeared in relief for Erie CC Kats.
Erie defeated Corning 15-5 in the final game of the series, thanks in part to 11 runs in the fourth inning. James Buettner hit a solo home run to left field, Hauck drew a walk, scoring one run, Calder drew a walk, scoring one run, Ethan Perry singled, scoring two runs, John Callahan singled, scoring one run, Deitz singled, scoring two runs, Tyler Pagano singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Hauck hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Jaden Korpan earned the win for Erie. The reliever gave up one hit and one run over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking two. Xavier Beckstead stepped on the mound first for Erie. The starter gave up three hits and four runs (three earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking four.
