Erie Community College baseball hosted Allegany College Maryland for a pair of games on Saturday. The bottom of the lineup helped the Kats capture a 12-2 victory in game one of the double header. Shane Pray, Isaac Duva and Jayden Ricks combined for five of the team's eight hits in the victory. The trio scored five runs and drove in six.
Ricks collected three hits in three at bats in the win to lead the team. Erie got on the board in the bottom of the first inning to take a big lead, putting up nine runs. Adam Staniszewski earned the win for the Kats. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and two runs over five innings, striking out three and walking two.
In game two, Erie would again get on the board first when Grayson Giddings singled in the second inning to score two runs. They would add a third run in the third inning on a Colby Wilson double. Allegany jumped into the lead in the top of the fourth before Erie would tie the game at four in the bottom of the sixth. The Trojans would then flip the game on its head in the top of the tenth inning, scoring six runs to win the game 10-4. Ryan Lynch led things off on the hill for Erie. He allowed seven hits and four runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one.
