After winning both of their games against Jamestown on Saturday at home, the Kats finished the successful weekend with two more wins at Jamestown. Dylan Moorhouse didn't allow a single run in the first game as Erie defeated Jamestown 18-0. Moorhouse allowed four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one.
Christian Cabrera led the team to victory by driving in four runs. Cabrera went 2-for-3 at the plate. Cabrera drove in runs on a double in the first, a wild pitch in the second and a single in the second. The team racked up 11 hits on the day. Colby Wilson, Cabrera, Joe Signorelli, and Whitehead all collected multiple hits.
Game two was a much tighter contest with Erie stealing the lead late to win 2-1. The game was tied at one with the Kats batting in the top of the fifth when Tyler Kerl's sac fly scored one run.
Kats pitching was strong with nine total strikeouts. Spencer Harford earned the win going four innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out four and walking one. Nolan Evans threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Evans recorded the last nine outs to earn the save.
The two wins completes a weekend sweep that saw Erie win all six games they played. The Kats are on a ten game winning streak and will complete the regualr season on Tuesday with a pair of games against Tompkins County Community College at North Campus.
