The Erie Community College baseball team hosted Onondaga on Thursday for a pair of games, coming away with wins in both.
Ethan Stevens didn't allow a single run in game one as the Kats defeated Onondaga 3-0. Stevens allowed just four hits and struck out seven.
Andrew Nantau went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Erie in hits. The Kats didn't commit a single error in the field. Christain Pagano had the most chances in the field with eight.
The Kats won game two 18-0 as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Spencer Harford was the winning pitcher for Erie. The hurler lasted four innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking zero. Nolan Evans threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Erie secured the victory thanks to 16 runs in the third inning. Leading the way in the big inning were Christian Cabrera, Ladislaus Landwehr, Vinny Grazioplene, Evans and Nantau all driving in runs in the frame. The Kats opened up scoring in the first inning when Colby Wilson grounded out, scoring one run.
Pagano led the team with two hits in two at bats and the Kats were sure-handed in the field again and didn't commit a single error. Carter Whitehead had the most chances in the field with four.
Erie will travel to Tompkins Cortland Community College for a pair of games on Saturday.
