Erie Community College baseball nabbed the lead late in the game in an 8-5 victory over Glen Oaks on Thursday. The Kats trailed 5-4 in the top of the ninth inning when D'Artagnan Van Dusen homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring four runs. Glen Oaks took an early lead in the first inning with two runs and went ahead 4-0 before the Kats got on the board in the top of the sixth inning. After Gen Oaks tacked on one more in the bottom of the frame, it was all Kats from there. Erie put up two in the eight and then complete the comeback in the ninth.
Ryan Moran got the start on the mound. The bulldog went four innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out seven.
Erie tallied nine hits in the game. Nolan Evans and Grayson Giddings all managed multiple hits with two each.
