The Kats baseball team continued their winning ways on Saturday, sweeping another double header. This time the Erie bats put up a total of 41 runs over the two games while only allowing two.
Kats players saw the ball well racking up 13 hits in game one. Harold Torres led the team, driving in four runs. Christian Cabrera, Torres, AJ Karosas and Adam Rankie each racked up multiple hits with Rankie, Karosas, Torres, and Cabrera having two hits each.
Ryan Moran got the win on the mound. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out two and walking zero.
Spencer Harford took to the mound for game two. The sophomore hurler threw a gem allowing zero runs and besting Broome by a score of 23-0.
Greg Hare collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Erie to victory. Hare homered in the first, doubled in the second, homered in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.
The two wins extends the Erie win streak to 12 games.
