John Grabowski has been a fixture in the Western New York soccer community as a player and a coach for more than a decade. His knowledge of the game and high energy has allowed Erie to maintain its status as a perennial playoff team in Region 3.

In 2016, Grabowski led the Kats to a 13-6 record and a Region 3 runner up finish. The 2017 team started the season by winning eight of its first nine games and found itself at number eight in the NJCAA Division 3 poll. The Kats finished the year 11-6 and made their third straight regional tournament under Grabowski. His six-year overall coaching record is 47-38-2.

Prior to coming to Erie, Grabowski was an All-SUNYAC performer at SUNY Fredonia before serving as an assistant coach at his alma mater for four years. He also played for FC Buffalo and currently serves as an assistant coach for the elite summer team.
