The Erie volleyball team traveled down the thruway to Monroe Community College to play two matches. In the first match, the Kats faced Monroe, winning in straight sets, 25-10, 25-20 and 27-25. In the second game Erie fell to Finger Lakes Community College in three sets, 25-11, 25-11 and 25-12.
Coach Craig Starzynski said of the day, "It wasn't our best day, so we're happy to even get a win. our offense was a little disjointed but we were pleased with the optimism and energy the team showed, even when we were down."
Erie will be back at it on Thursday when they host Jamestown Community College at 6:00 pm.
