Men's and Women's Bowling Begin Virtual Season
Tonawanda, NY- The Erie Men's and Women's Bowling team opened their 2021 season with a match vs Mohawk Valley, Corning Community College, Suffolk County Community College and Herkimer Community College.
In the first week of the season, the Kats Men's team finished 3rd and the Women's team finished 4th.
Freshman Cameron Stark led the way for the Kats and was fourth overall with 1,039 pins and a 207.8 average. He opened play with a 258, which was the second highest among all competitors.Sophomore Eric Engler was sixth overall with a 200.2 average.
For the Women, Freshman Jessie McKeown was the Kats leader with a 785 series and a high game of 179.
Due to the ongiong Covid-19 pandemic and Region III and NJCAA guidelines, each team will bowl on their home lanes and submit their scores to the region.
The Kats will hit the lanes again on Sunday, February 28th
