The ECC Kats came to play Tuesday evening at Genesee Community College. In game one the Kats pounded out 17 hits en route to a 16-6 victory.
Julia Kilonski led the way with four hits including a triple. Emily Belile would add three hits of her own. Three other Kats collected two hits apiece in the contest, Samantha Wing, Samantha Heppel and Giselle Rodriguez with both of Rodriguez's being doubles. Kate Poitras and Emily Krause chipped in with a hit each. Heppel toed the rubber allowing only one earned run and collecting 9 K's though five innings.
The offense didn't let up in game two. After falling behind 4-0 in the first, the Kats belted another 13 hits in the night cap. Wing and Julia Kilonski led the way with three hits apiece. All of Wing's hits went for extra bases with two doubles and a triple. Alyssa Kilonski and Poitras added two doubles each. Rodriguez was again on fire adding a single and a double giving her three doubles on the day and a game ball for her trophy case. Belile chipped in with a hit. Heppel entered the circle in the first with no one out down four and was able to record her second victory of the day allowing only one earned run and striking out 6 giving her 15 on the day in ten innings of work.
Up next for the Kats is a double header at Herkimer College on Saturday.
