Erie Community College softball traveled to Watertown on Sunday for a double header with Jefferson Community Collgee. Game one got away from the Kats with an eight run Jefferson second inning. The final tally was 12-0 (5 earned runs). Samantha Wing, Emma Poitras and Emily Krause accounted for the Kats only 3 hits.
Game two was anyone's game as the Kats took a 2-1 lead into the 5th with the game tied at 2 heading into the 6th. The Cannoneers would score two unearned runs in the 6th to hang onto a 5-2 victory. The Kats would leave base runners at second and third three times in the game stranding a total of nine base runners in all including two more in the seventh. Julia Kilonski and Emily Belile each singled and doubled for the Kats in the contest. Alyssa Kilonski would add a double and Kate Poitras a single. Heppel went the distance for the Kats in game two allowing only two earned runs in a solid outing.
