Erie Softball Goes on the Offense vs. JCC.
The Erie Community College softball team erupted for 53 total runs on Sunday during their pair of games against Jamestown Community College.
Game one saw the Kats score 19 runs of 15 hits in the 19-7 victory. Alyssa Quagliana was two for three at the plate, including two runs, with six RBI and two runs scored. Alycia Wojciechowski had two dingers of her own, going two for three with five RBI and three runs scored. Jenna Bailey, Savannah Drozda, Emily Krause and Francheska Tejeda all had multiple hits in the game.
Quagliana was behind the plate, allowing seven runs on nine hits in the five inning game.
The offense continued to click for Erie in game two. The Kats racked up 28 hits in the 33-3 victory. Quagliana was on the mound again, pitching all five innings allowing three runs on five hits. She was six of six at the plate while scoring five runs and knocking in two. Wojciechowski was also perfect at the plate. She went five for five with four RBI and three runs scored. Bailey and Drozda each had four hits of their own while several other Kats had multiple hits.
Erie will travel to Monroe Community College on Wednesday for a pair of game starting at 2:00 pm.
