Buffalo NY- The Erie men's basketball team defeated Monroe Community College 81-69 on Wednesday at the Burt Flickinger Center. It was a back and forth contest between the two teams until Erie took control in the final minutes to pull ahead for the win.
Sophomore Joshua Denis was the leading scorer for the Kats, putting up 26 points. Also in double digits for the team were Kelvin Reaves (15), Justin Morety (12) and Michael Agiddi (12).
The Kats are now 10-5 on the season and will travel to crosstown rival Niagara County Community College on Saturday for a 2:00 pm game.
