Kats Lose to Hudson Valley on Final Drive
Despite putting up over 450 yards of total offense, the Erie Community College football team lost to Hudson Valley Community College 33-27 on Saturday. After falling behind to the Vikings and trailing for most of the game, the Kats rallied on a late third quarter touchdown run by John Amaning followed by a 49 yard run by Wrentie Martin to begin the fourth quarter. Erie would hold the 27-26 lead until just over a minute to play when Hudson Valley would punch it in from the two yard line for the victory.
Martin also passed for 249 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Amaning caught 21 passes for 87 yards and the touchdown. Christian Ozolins lead the defense with 14 tackles.
Erie will now travel to Brockport to face the Golden Eagles on Monday, September 26th at 4:00 pm.
