Erie baseball was back on the field on Tuesday night with a double header at Jamestown Community College. A seventh-inning spurt lead Erie past the Jayhawks in game one with Erie winning 13-5. The Kats tallied 12 hits in the game. Garrett Wilson and Shane Pray were a force together in the lineup as they each collected three hits for the Kats while hitting back-to-back. Ronan Glassford went 2-4 at the plate and led Erie with three runs batted in.
Ryan Lynch opened the game for Erie allowing seven hits and five runs over five innings. He struck out five and walked two.
Game two was more of a pitchers duel with the Kats coming out with the 3-1 victory.
Adam Staniszewski started on the mound for Erie and recorded all 21 outs. The starter gave up three hits and one run over seven innings. Erie was able to record eight hits against the Jayhawks with Isaac Duva leading with two. Both Glassford and Austin Deitz had doubles in the win.
